Kuantan & Sekeping Serendah Retreat

Had a 2D 1N short trip to Kuantan in Swiss Garden Beach Resort Kuantan with my sister and her family!
The stay was not bad, hotel was good, food was okay.
It had been almost 4 years since I last visited Kuantan, and that previous time was with my Form 6 friends. Good old times!

Breakfast buffet in hotel.
Not much variety, but taste was fine.

The beach resort have their own beach compound, wave was rough though. And the haze had been terrible lately.
I got up early, wanting to catch the sunrise but was rewarded with hazy skies. Lol.
I miss Sabah!

These two pictures are entirely untouched, taken under natural sunlight with my new phone. Change to OPPO Find7 recently. Kinda disappointed with the camera, only work fine outdoor! :/

Tips:

Stay in Swiss Garden Beach Resort for less than RM400 (2 pax), great facility like swimming pool, gym, play room with arcade and wii, restaurants and bars..
Eat in Alor Akar Seafood Restaurant (20 mins from hotel)
Pros: Cheap and nice food!
Cons: Very bad service, very crowded.
Tips for eating here: Try to get there before 7 PM. The food will come in less than 20 minutes if you're early but you'll get very offended by their service crew.
Pak Su Seafood Restaurant (open for lunch and dinner)
Try out their special crab pau! Quite costly to eat here. :)

One of the places that I've been wanting to visit!
Serendah is a small town situated very near to Rawang, and it takes less than an hour drive from the city center.
Sekeping Serendah is actually more suitable for big groups maybe for gathering and team building. You'll save more if you go with big group too! Their houses are even prettier for bigger groups.
This time I took the glass box room (2 pax).

Cute glass box!
You'll be very surprised with the shower and toilet because it's just really natural in here. You'll.... bath with the forest. Absolutely no doors and not even curtains.
Not even glass doors.
I shall not post the shower and toilet here, because you guys deserve the surprise! Hahaha.

One of the nicest thing here is the sort of infinity pool overlooking the greens.
Amazing!
And I have no idea how they managed to make the water look that pretty! The colour is like light turquoise so pretty wtf
Shiyunn took this picture of me swimming and a friend commented:
What style you swimming?
Ariel style. Mermaid. HAHAHA.
Bro, I don't even know how to swim. I can only float and move around.

We made our own dinner and breakfast and during breakfast the lighting was great.
Everywhere is so instagrammable.

Macam cafe breakfast :P

Toasted bread also looks so pretty.
Natural lighting wins :)

Tips:
Get here just for a mini getaway from your hectic days in the city.
Chill with the greens, dip yourself in the pools, (two public pools, one is nearer to lower grounds, the other is on higher grounds - the sorta infinity pool), go for jungle trekking around the retreat.

Nothing much to do there, there is a waterfall nearby but the public notice there looks really unwelcoming so we only took a look.
Basically you'll get bored if you spend more than 2 days there.
There is really nothing to do! Hence, its better to go with big groups so you can just drink with your friends, BBQ, chat around and really, just chill.

They have no food around, so you've got to prepare!
We ate korean ramen for dinner as we bought our own mini gas stove there. For brunch we made simple sandwich. Even for a small room like the glassbox, you'll be provided with cutlery, a mini oven, fridge, and kettle. So making yourself simple meals should be fine.
If you have more than 2 person, just BBQ :)

I spent less than RM200 for this trip.
RM 140 for room, RM 40 for petrol and food.
The glassbox (2 pax) is for RM280.

Signing off!
xoxo
